A few years ago I had a t-shirt with a cute avocado couple on it, and I thought “what if we make this idea come alive, and make them into 3d printable keychains?”.

I think this cute avocado couple will make a perfect Valentine’s gift, we placed a hidden magnet socket inside the heart part for each avocados, and in the 3mf file the settings are made to pause the print in the right time, so you can place the 8mm diameter magnets inside the socket, so by the end of the print the magnets stay inside the hearts of the avocados!:)
Like this they can attach to each other (or you can attach them on the fridge)

–One full piece version and multicolor, (AMS with 4 colors)

–Multi Part versions (like this you can use any combinations and colors of filaments without the need of multicolor printing)
We added a few pins to this model as well, which helps at the assembly and to snap the parts together:

-Batch version (for the Multicolor Keychains, for people who want to print big quantities and for our Authorized Sellers, so like this they can print it the most cost-effective way)
In this version you can print Small 55% scaled avocados, with automatic print pause to place 8mm x 2mm magnets inside. The batch version has 104 avocados on a single plate.
A quick comparison:
To print 2 avocados, it’s around 10 hours and around $3 in filament,
to print the 104 avocados it’s about 48 hours and $17 in filament.

Print difficulty level: Beginner to Intermediate

Recommended print settings: (If you use Bambu or Orca slicer, all the print settings are automatically loaded in each version’s 3mf files)

-Layer height: 0.2mm (at the multiple parts version you can set the layer height to 0.1mm to the small parts such as the eyes, cheeks, mouth, heart)

-Wall loops: 3

-Infill: 8%, Gyroid

-Supports: No supports needed!:)

“STEAL THEIR LOOK!” instructions (resources, filaments and painting recommendations)

Version – Multi part version on separate plates

Printer: Bambu P1S

Filaments: Bambu PLA Matte filaments

TRYMAG Refrigerator Magnets 8x2mm

Instructions:
Step1: Print each part on the plates from the included 3mf file (multi part on separate plates), and choose which colors of filaments you want to print it with. (if you want, you can use a tiny bit of white paint or acrylic marker for adding some sparkle in their eyes)

IMPORTANT PART: when you reach to the part of printing the hearts, make sure that at the slicer you set up the print to pause (right click on the layer slider and press on “add pause”), so you can place the magnets inside the socket. (if you load the 3mf file in Bambu, it already has the pause set up at the last layer before the socket gets closed, but it’s always a good idea to double-check it)

Step2: Assemble the parts, if you want, you can use a little drop of superglue to make them stay together well:)
